This Christmas visit did not take place as planned until February due to inclement weather which made the roads unpassable. We were able to send 13 bags of goodies for each child in the village. Each bag contained a new sweater, school supplies, candy, socks, thinsulate cap and gloves, toys, teeth and hair care items. A local merchant also donated 13 new blankets.

Narrated by Vali Nas:

Mariana has visited Georgiana and her community a month ago and delivered your gifts to them. Mariana was in the countryside with business.  The weather on February 5 was pretty good and the snow had melted almost completely, so Mariana took the van and decided to give it a try.  She was able to get to Bisoca and deliver your gifts to all the children.

(What a big smile! How different from the first 2 visits.)

When she (Mariana) arrived there, she asked Georgiana to write a letter for her sister.  By the time she was leaving, she had this letter from Georgiana:

"My dear little sister,

I can tell you that I am well and healthy and I am very happy to know that you have such good parents, and I want to thank them a lot for helping me very much and I hope that one day we will see each other, I am living with my grandma and I have a very good grandma and for seven years mommy didn't come to see me.  Me Georgiana, Georgiana's grandma and Georgiana's dad we thank you for all that you did to help us, and all the children whom you have sent gifts also thank you nicely."
